S3B1. Knows that reproduction is a characteristic of all living things and is essential to all living things.
All the living things reproduce. If one of them stopped reproducing, then there would be less of that species in the world. From the projects I did on living things, all of them (living things) reproduce.
S3B2. Knows that for sexually reproducing organisms, a species comprises all organisms that can mate with one another to produce fertile offspring.
For sexually reproducing organisms, if it mates with another of its group then it can produce fertile offspring. If its not, then they make infertile offspring?
S3B3. Understands asexual and sexual reproduction (e.g. in terms of how traits are passed to offspring- heredity, and the advantages/disadvantages of both).
From the cards and projects, I learned that sexual reproduction needs a mate, and asexual reproduction reproduces quickly. In sexual reproduction it needs to find a mate in order to reproduce, so it will take some time, and in asexual reproduction it's faster? So both sexual and asexual reproduction have advantages and disadvantages. Many of my projects show that.
